Alyxia BonnettAbout Me
I am a young musician enrolled in the Don of Wright Music Faculty at the University of Western to study music education and music performance for my principle instrument, the clarinet. I have been privately studying the clarinet for 4 years and I am now continue to study the clarinet professionally with Dr. Starling as UWO. I enrolled in the music ed. as an undergraduate and aspire to become private studio teacher for my instrument and work with children or young adults who are also passionate and enthusiastic of music and the clarinet.
I have experience as a early childhood educator where I received my education at Mohawk College and apart of an apprenticeship program with my high school and the college. I did my placement for 6 months in a junior/senior kindergarten class at Holy Rosary Elementary school; I received hands on experience with children from the ages of 4 - 7 that challenged me to develop multiple ways to resolve conflict and deliver morale lesson. I also have completed the St.Johns Ambulance first aid program and the CIT for coaching young gymnasts at a recreational level. |
More About Me
I am a very curious and enthusiastic musician and I enjoy helping others learn more about music and use music even as a tool for learning. I believe music is another form of communication that we can use efficiently to help reach out to others in a creative way.
I am curious about how music theory and history deepens our appreciation of music and develops stronger performance skills for the young musician as well. I love dogs, and I love my dog which you might see in many of my works, I use her as an emotional support animal. |
